I was looking for a room–mate for next year starting in fall 2011 until 2012. I live in Colony Club apartments which is on chambers and Kenny. It is about 1.2 miles from Kottman and so is easily walk-able or bike-able to the school (I bike, and it’s fun. Takes me under 8 minutes). The rent is about $375 per head with everything included (utilities, internet, rent, etc). I love this place as its quiet and well maintained. It has a common pool and guest area as well. The building needs a key to enter so they are secure. The manager on duty and the maintenance guys are really good and always end up fixing any issues within the same day. There is ample free parking, and indoor bike racks. The Kroger on chambers and northwest is right around the corner and a 5 minute walk. Close to Lennox shopping mall which is another 10 minute walk. There are COTA bus stops nearby, but not CABS. However, I have not used the bus as its very close to school so I walk or bike most days.

The rooms are quite spacious and I have a nice bed, desk, dresser in mine with other little stuff and I do not feel cramped. The living room is spacious and one wall has a brick wall! The kitchen has a dishwasher, and stove. Rooms are carpeted wall to wall and there is central heat and air – pay fixed utilities. I  might be upgrading to the new ones (about $10pm more) but comes with newer appliances and a microwave as well. If you want, I can send you pictures of the area and the apartment that I live in. and yes, no pets allowed unfortunately (maybe a caged animal but will have to ask the management).

Now that you know the basic about the apartment, here is a bit about me. I am in my first year of MS in environment social sciences under Eric Toman, and by fall I will start my second year and research on my thesis = extremely busy. I like peace during the weekday for sure as I sleep early and wake up early for school, so I prefer that roommate appreciate that need for quiet during the weekdays atleast. I am also very clean, keep things clean. So I would appreciate if you keep the common areas clean such as – do your dished after use instead of a pile in the sink, and help maintain a clean environment. I am alright with people being over, and house guests, until they are quiet after 10pm during the weeknights. Other than that I am easy going, and have no issues. But I have had issues with unclean and noisy roommates in the past – so that is something I definitely like to mention before I stay with someone. Let me know if you have any more questions and I would be more than happy to answer. Oh forgot to mention – I would prefer a female roommate but I am ok with a guy as well.
