So, I have recently learned something quite strange about the Chinese language and culture. I enjoy hearing stories and customs from other cultures. Thus, I thought I would investigate the Chinese culture a little bit.
Guess what I discovered? Quite a bold statement - "The inventors of the ancient Chinese characters knew the God of the Christian Bible." Wow! Quite a statement.
This is what I found: http://students.washington.edu/cbsf/cool/Chinese.swf
Check it out and let's embark on a discovery journey of Ancient China together! Post your thoughts...

Thank you for sharing. I am a Chinese and I think it is really very interesting to read the interpretations of Chinese characters.
Since elemantary school we have learned how Chinese characters were formed. Tracing the source in the Bible does give me a new view. I wish to learn more about the connection between human's history written in the Bible and the formation of characters.
There was a book written many years ago that explained various connections between ancient chinese characters and biblical accounts of God, humans, and creation. Unfortunately, I forget the title? One character for a man was the symbol for earth between two hands, very interesting comparison to the Genesis story.
